Silly Americans, by design

I don’t get much into politics, but it seems to me that most Americans nowadays want the government to be a one-all-do-all. That is not what America was supposed to be. The people changed so the government changed, or was it that the government changed so the people changed.

America was all about limited government, not having a fallback if you took the wrong turn. The what’s in it for me generation of baby boomers have undone all that. All right, maybe with a little help from the new world order manipulating the weather and doing little things like 911 and terrorism.

Now, Americans expect government to step in and help them when they are down. So we get the logical conclusion of government help, staggering losses and large inefficient bureaucracies. 911 brought us homeland security to help us stay in one place. Katrina, Rita, & Wilma is bringing us to martial law. Now, people expect the government to help them out when they have made an error in judgment.

The next logical step for government to take is to call in the troops to help us poor Americans who can’t control our urges. Now when we choose to live on a coast famous for hurricanes, if only made by the new world order, when one comes, the troops will help us out. Or when we live on another coast famous for earthquakes, the troops will also help us out.

Alas, all our troops are busy fighting terrorism in another country. But the poor Americans still need help, I know, what if the UN troops help out the poor Americans. Only they do it slightly better than the American troops would have, by design.

Pretty soon, the Americans want the UN troops to help them out. Then, say a football game gets a little rowdy and the UN troops have to be called in to restore order.

Then the USA attacks Iran because it has said it wants to do in Israel and the UN troops block the USA at home, on USA soil. America becomes a nation under siege.

Now we see that our urges have not been controlled very well. President Clinton was a man of many urges, not only sexual. He wanted to be re-elected for a second term, but he also wanted a balanced budget. The Chinese gave him the money to do both, but wait a minute the piper must be paid. China got the computer industry secrets and the defense industry secrets in return for Mr. Clinton having a second term that was with a balanced budget. But wait, Mr. Clinton is gone and so is financial stability, what happened?

Now who is the biggest bully on the block and what can we do about it. Just say no, but we won’t, after all, we are Americans, known for spending what we don’t have.
