Life is a Process not a Destination
3-D life is a blessing in disguise, because it makes you stronger through just going through it. Life's rewards are its struggles. When you arrive at a goal, it is always a letdown. What is the point in goal setting anyway if all the strife just aggravates you and gives you stress? The point is allegorical. The sea is full of coral, and the most brilliantly colored coral grows right in the current, always seeming to struggle for its existence. In other words, the point is to be in the flow of life, in movement toward a goal that may or may not seem worthy to you at the time. If your goal is to grow as a human being into a being of light. Forget it, you already are a being of light. If your goal is to discover the light of your own soul and how to better use that light in this life, now that may be something worth going through this life for. Whatever your goal is, you have to do some kind of work to get there. Make sure your goal is attractive to you in the first place, as you may be at it for awhile and you wouldn't want to get bored along the path. If you are one with your goal, ie. it comes from your heart, then your so-called struggles, work, and crud you have to go through are the rewards of being in flow. If you feel out of balance, and constantly in process, be thankful, as you are growing and that is the one truly good human condition to be in. I have arrived at goals I set and got bored many times. I then proceeded to foul it up big time, just to get out of boredom. Consider this. If you knew what your life's purpose was from the start and you never had to figure anything out at all, would you be happy? If life never handed you a lemon, then you would never had the pleasure of knowing that you can always make lemonade. Your life struggles can build character / self-esteem, knowing that you will persevere. Which would you rather do? Make something happen, or have it given to you on a silver platter. Look at all those miserable people who won the lottery? The majority of them really do go broke. Too much to quick is not a good thing, unless you are ready to handle it. If you are ready to handle material success in the form of the lottery, you don't need it in the first place. To be happy is one of the goals of a lot of people. Happiness is a state of mind, not a physical state of being. Happiness is a process too. Being in flow is being happy, although you may not think so at the time. It is a rare person who can appreciate their life as they go through it. Usually what happens, is that a few years go by and all of a sudden, you long for the good old days. Life to me is a striving for balance between heart and mind. Your mind pattern sets up the conditions of your life and your heart feels its way through those conditions, making you happy or sad, which is very often 2 sides of the same coin. Once you realize that you make your own reality, then all you have to do is make it a "good" one. Will someone please tell me what a "good" version of reality is? Good and bad are just opinions of someone's ego. The ego was discovered a while back and it is just a protection mechanism that makes you want to feel safe and secure all the time. It is also a striving mechanism because I have never seen or heard of a contented ego. If your ego has a billion dollars, then it wants more power to go along with the money. I project that the "good" version of reality is one you have made right now and its struggles are making you stronger, so that someday you can look back on the days when you accomplished a lot in spite of all the pitfalls that were in your way. Consider this. More people die of no stress, after they retire and have nothing to do, than living with "the so-called stress of having to go to work everyday, having to perform constantly". You want to strive to get just the right amount of stress each day, so that each day is its own reward. The reward is coming home, knowing that you have done something with your day, only to find that now you have to fix your son's bicycle tire, or take out the garbage to give your wife a rest. The reward is knowing that life is a never-ending test of your abilities to balance your heart and mind so that you can create an interesting tomorrow to deal with. You are here to witness it all and grow throughout the process. Get in the flow and don't ever leave it, the flow is happiness in itself. Bottom line is, you can write about life, live it, or live it and write about it. It may take you all your life to find out what you want to do, but never stop striving to know yourself. Life is in the doing, as the only thing you may be able to take with you are your experiences. The currents of life will make you strong , vibrant, and beautiful, get in the flow.
