A Personal Technology History

1965 - Took first Fortran IV course in College on a UNIVAC system that was literally as big as a house and required the cooling system of a major building to run. Spent a lot of time punching cards to run do loops.

1996- Got on the Internet and was consumed by it. I still am and can get anything most search years to find. Got into an argument with my CPA and found that he had made several errors which cost me $ and made me go through 3 audits. Converted my own books to the computer with Quickbooks and did taxes with Turbo Tax. No problems or audits have come up. Bought first flat bed scanner and 2 hand –held scanners.

As you can see, I like playing with technology and have become quite good at it. I am a great buyer/ information getter of technology and always get what I go after. I never pay retail for anything. I am very big on inspecting what I expect so my quality does not suffer. I pay attention to details so everything works. I pick up on software quickly, so I don’t have any problem coming up to speed on new systems.
