Blame Somebody Else Shame on Me
Every time I blame somebody else for my troubles, two things happen. The blame comes back to me and my troubles get worse. Case in point: the stock market - I blamed Alan Greenspan quite openly for my troubles with the stock market. While he had a large amount of responsibility for this crash, he did not make me keep wanting the stock market to go up when reality told me every day that it was indeed going down. My losses got larger and the blame eventually came back to where it belonged: ME! No one was holding a gun to my head saying invest on the up side, certainly not Alan Greenspan. It was me that had a reality problem. When I stopped investing in the stock market, the losses stopped. When I cured the reality problem I was having, all of a sudden, there was no one to blame. By the way, a little off the wall advice for newlyweds, Husbands that want love or anything else from their wives realize that it is futile to blame their wives for anything. Even if the wife is to blame, are we as husbands going to get any points for pointing out the obvious, NO! Keep the peace, Keep quiet if they're at fault, but admit it right away if you're to blame, it's the courteous , loving thing to do. Have a nice life, Mike.
